We Will Remember Them
The 8th Battalion was an infantry battalion of the Australian Army. Initially raised in 1914 for the First Australian Imperial Force during the First World War. The battalion was completely recruited from Victoria.
The Arapiles region provided many recruits including past players, members and their families who willing gave service for our country in the 8th Battalion.
NUFNC has strong links to the Diggers through our merger with Horsham United (and the old Imperials Wonwondah) in 2014.
ANZAC DAY is an opportunity to re-visit and acknowledge the past club associations with the Diggers and the service men and women from the region.
Please take a moment to remember the fallen, those that did not make it home and our armed forces past and present.
