Stretching…. Its not just for runners and gymnasts. Everyone needs to stretch as it keeps muscles flexible, strong and healthy. Keeping your muscles flexible, helps to maintain your joints range of motion. We need that range of motion for all kinds of things including sport and injury prevention.

Regular stretching is important so our muscles don’t get too tight. As if our muscles are tight they are more likely to get damaged when we do strenuous activity.

Daily stretching might seem like a lot, but you don’t need to stretch every muscle. Focus on your lower extremities – calves, hamstrings, hip flexors and thighs. Stretching your shoulders, neck lower back an also be greatly beneficial. Aim for daily stretches or at least three to four times a week.
