July 21 NUFNC will be donning our blue armbands in memory of our fallen teammates and others that have died on Australian roads.
On December 10th 1989, the first TAC road safety clip was aired on television.
Please take some time to watch , it is a montage of many of the ads over a 20 year period – some of the footage is over 30 years old.
If you’re old enough, you might remember how horrific the TAC ads were and still are.
Over 30 years on, the road toll has reduced somewhat but the messages are still the same.
“Distracted drivers die”
“We all have someone to drive safely for”
“Everybody hurts”
And “if we make it home safely then everyone wins”
